van Gogh Sunflowers

In visual art, we have been learning how to hold a paintbrush correctly and apply paint.  Take a look at our wonderful van Gogh sunflower paintings which we showed at assembly today!

Making Pizza

We have been learning about the importance of eating healthy food.  Last week we made pizzas and added healthy toppings.  They were delicious!  Take a look at our photos.

Welcome to 2014

Hi everyone and welcome to Room 1's blog for 2014.  Mrs Gall and I are very proud of all the children and the wonderful start they have made to school.  I will be taking some photos of our school day and posting them on this blog very soon so you can see all the great learning we do!

Science Alive

During Term 3 we have been working on a technology unit called "My City."  As part of our class learning, Science Alive came to school and helped us to design and build a city out of duplo.  We had so much of fun and did lots of learning at the same time!  We would like to thank the PTA for funding this and also the parents who came along to help.  Take a look at our photos!

Orana Park

Our trip to Orana Wildlife Park was a real adventure!  We went to the Zoo School and learnt about mammals.  Carole taught us about the animals that live at Orana Park.  We fed the giraffes, went for a ride on the shuttle, visited the tiger and lion enclosures, looked in the reptile house, saw native birds feeding and lots more ......  Take a look at our photos!
